Dr. Blair graduated from Washington State University in 1980 with his degree in Veterinary Medicine. He practiced for 2 years in Southern California and then returned home to Roseburg in 1982 to join his father and uncle in the family practice. Dr. Blair is active in the Roseburg Kiwanis and Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of Roseburg Christian Fellowship and enjoys working with his family ranching. Dr. Blair enjoys all water sports, tennis, and spending as much time as possible with his family. "Roseburg is a great community and a wonderful place to live".
Dr. Craig joined Bailey Veterinary Clinic in June of 1988, after graduating from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in June of 1983. Prior to joining the Bailey family, he practiced in a mixed animal practice for 3 years, followed by a residency at UC Davis. Dr Craig has a great interest in orthopedic surgery, especially cruciate repair, and internal medicine.
Dr Craig's wife, Belinda, is an oncology nurse employed with Dr. Michael O'Neil. His son Barry joined the practice in 2008 after graduating from Oregon Stage University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Craig calls his son "The new and improved model". Morgan, his daughter, is employed as a nurse in the emergency room at Mercy Medical Center. Dr. Craig and his wife enjoy tennis, skiing (both water and snow), their yard, and dogs, but especially their grandchildren Cade, Tristan and McKinley.
Dr. Barry graduated from Oregon State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Barry and his wife Sara have a son named Cade and a daughter named McKinley. Sara is an elementary school teacher. The family enjoys the rural area, especially all of the outdoor activities. Dr. Barry loves the variety that a mixed animal practice provides every day.
Dr. Martin Burnett began his education at California State Polytechnic University at Pomona in 1973. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science in 1977 and began teaching Vocational Agriculture that summer in Yucaipa, California. Continuing his education, he completed his Master's degree in 1980 and moved his family to Camas Valley, Oregon to continue his teaching career and to raise his three sons in a rural atmosphere. In 1980 he resigned from the teaching position to enter Veterinary School in the Oregon State/Washington State University programs. Following graduation in 1994, Dr. Burnett joined the Bailey Veterinary Clinic to pursue the profession of his childhood dreams. He enjoys camping, hunting, and fishing when he is not working on his home and property.
Dr. Jill started with us in June of 2007. She graduated from UC Davis with an emphasis in equine medicine. She and her husband Eric moved to Oregon along with their Basset Hounds, two cats (Grey Goose and Stoli) and two horses. Dr. Jill is an avid equestrian and is active in the Umpqua Valley CT and Dressage Club. She shows dressage and will show jumpers with her filly Cha Cha when she is old enough. Eric and Jill love living here and enjoy hiking in the forest with their dogs when she isn’t riding.
Dr. Paul wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as he can remember. He grew
up bringing his animals to Baileys and started working here in high school as a
member of our kennel crew staff.
He graduated from Oregon State School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and
practiced medicine in Wasilla, Alaska for nearly 5 years before returning home
to Bailey Veterinary Clinic in 2012.
Within the clinic, Dr.Paul enjoys getting to know his patients with compassion
and patience. His special interests include soft tissue surgery, orthopedics,
general medicine, and sheep and goat medicine.
Dr. Paul says ,” I enjoy my family time with my wife and 3 children , including our
new arrival of twins in January of 2014”. His fur family consists of 2 dogs and 2 cats.
Away from the clinic, his interests include outdoor activities and raising sheep.
We were more than ecstatic to welcome Dr. Kyle into the Bailey family in May of 2013. He graduated from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. During the five years prior, he worked as a mixed animal practitioner in Hermiston, Or. Dr. Kyle's wife, Charlene, has been a teacher for the last six years.
In May of 2014, Kyle and his wife were blessed with their beautiful baby boy Rio. They also have an Australian Shepard mix named Wiley who goes everywhere with them. In their spare time they enjoy hunting, fishing, white water rafting, and any other outdoor activity.
Dr. Mike has officially retired from Bailey Veterinary Clinic, but don't worry, he will still be doing some relief work for us.
Dr. Mike grew up in Bakersfield, California working in the agriculture/livestock industry. He attended UC Santa Cruz, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and received his degree in Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis. His grown children live in Stockton, California and Glenwood Springs, Colorado with his three grandchildren. His most developed skill is that of providing unmerited grace in his role as grandpa "Bopo". Mike and his wife, Judy, still thank you for choosing Bailey's for your veterinary needs
CHELSEA began her Bailey career in December of 2012 where she started as a
receptionist . With a stellar smile and a positive attitude, she quickly worked her
way up to become our new Practice Manager.
Chelsea reports, “ I started at Baileys because it looked like a great place
with great atmosphere and seemed like the perfect place to work while I finished
my college degree. Now I’m hooked for life!”
Chelsea is a senior at Eastern Oregon University. We’d like to point out that
Chelsea has been initiated into Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest collegiate
honors society. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and
approval by a chapter.
Her favorite area within the clinic is obviously working with people but you can
sometimes find her back in surgery , excited to see what new and interesting
procedures might be going on.
Chelsea loves spending time with her husband and family. She has 2 dogs,
Billups and Norton and 2 cats, Dakota and Hudson.

The technicians at Bailey Veterinary Clinic are here to help you and your pet during your visit to the clinic. Some of their duties include assisting the doctor by inviting you and your pet into the exam room, taking general information and getting a current weight and temperature.
They will be the ones assisting the doctors in the hospital by administering the medications, taking radiographs, performing any laboratory work needed and any other care requested by your veterinarian as well as giving general comfort during your pets' stay with us.
The surgery doctor will have a technician assisting them during surgery by administering and monitoring anesthesia during procedures and keeping you informed of your pets surgical recovery.
Our goal is to provide you and your pet with a professional and comfortable visit while you are with us.
LEAD TECH: ANDREA has been working at Bailey Veterinary Clinic since January of 2006. She started out as a kennel crew member, then room technician and is now a Certified Veterinary technician. She has always had a love for animals and science and knew that the veterinary field was the best career path for her. Although she loves every aspect of her job, Andrea’s two favorite tasks are dental cleaning and working in the lab.
In her spare time she enjoys gardening, drawing, riding her horses and training horses. She competes in barrel racing and reining, but also enjoys trail riding.
Her fur family consists of 2 horses (Indy & Cruiser), 2 miniature horses (Buzz & Woody), 3 cats ( Charlie, Roger and Scotty), and 1 dog (Sam).

With her self proclaimed “obnoxious sense of humor”, CANDY keeps
everyone around her smiling. Baileys was lucky to bring
her on board in 2003 and she’s been making us laugh ever since.
Candy’s favorite position within the clinic is the lab (although she has
exceptional skills in all areas of the clinic).
Candy reports that from the young age of 5, she knew she would work
with animals and obtain a career in the veterinary field. Her four legged
family includes 2 dogs, 2 cats, 4 horses and several feral cats around the property.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, golfing , horseback riding and spending
time with her husband and grandkids.

RENEE started as a kennel crew member in 1998 before leaving
to go to school to become a veterinary technician, and returned to
Baileys in 2001.
She shares her home with 2 adorable felines, Tinkerbel & Nyx and
her boyfriend Tavis. With her mothering instincts, it makes sense
that Renee will often foster abandoned kittens whenever the need arises.
Outside of work, Renee enjoys spending time with her boyfriend,
who has been very supportive of all of the animals she brings home.
You can often find her at any event pertaining to sports. Her favorite
sports include women’s slow pitch softball, basketball and football. She
also helps out with the stats at high school games.
Renee grew up around animals and always knew that whatever job
she had would be centered around them. She “really appreciates” her
work family and has plans to stay in the veterinary field indefinitely.

SARA’s ridiculous love for animals stems from childhood and eventually
brought her to Baileys back in 2005. She enjoys all aspects of the clinic but
she is especially fond of blood work (lab). With her positive attitude and
unceasing smile, it’s not surprising that Sara helps to brighten everyone’s
day. She has 3 precious pooches (Oliver, Emma and Baxter), a trio of spoiled
felines (Miles, Wuffy and Toodles) and a menagerie of chickens who’s names
are as follows: Priya, Amy, Penny, Peepers, Nugget, Lego, Lizzie, Chickie and
last, but not least, Bernadette.
Her spare time is spent reading, playing sports, hiking, spending time
with her family and a number of varied pursuits which include helping make
the Bailey’s Red Cross Blood drive possible and participating in the Relay
for Life several times over the years.
But wait! ….Sara just added 2 new kittens to the family , Kitty Kitten & Kwansi !

HEIDI joined the Baileys family in 2006. Her fur family consists of
2 cats,4 dogs , 1 horse and 2 amazing children who she is very proud of.
Heidi has graced Baileys with her ability to bring a sense of calm to
everyone around her. She agrees that one of her best traits is handling
cats. We totally agree and often refer to her as “The Cat Whisperer”
Horseback riding, Alzheimer walks, sports and camping are some of
her passions outside of the work place and you can almost always
find her at any event that includes auto racing.

KIRSTAN worked as kennel crew from 1991 until 1996 and then rejoined
the clinic in 1998 as a technician.
She can easily work any tech position that our veterinary team asks
of her. She does it effortlessly and without hesitation or complaint. Her
heart is as big as they come and she shows it in the way that she always
puts pets first.
Kirstan chose the veterinary field because of her love for animals. Her pets
include 2 boxers, 2 cats, 2 turtles, 3 frogs, 1 bunny and 2 horses. She also has 2
rowdy, yet wonderful boys, Blake and Daniel.
Outside of the clinic Kirstan volunteers at Huecrest Elementary School and
enjoys scrap booking, watching her boys play sports and hanging out with her family (pets included).
DUSTINE joined Baileys in November of 2007 until May of 2011
and rejoined the team in November of 2012.
Excellent patient care is one of her passions and her goal is to treat each
patient like they were one of her own. Proud to be a part of a caring staff
& knowledgeable veterinarians, Dustine reports “ I’ve never held a
position more rewarding than that of a veterinary technician.”
Her work family is very important to her and she has plans to stay at Baileys
throughout her career.
Camping, fishing, yard work , shooting and trips to the coast are a few of
the things she enjoys doing when she is not at the clinic.
Dustine and her husband Mark are owned by their extremely spoiled dog,
Ross, who they rescued back in 2013.

Wanting to work with, and help animals, RONNIE knew that the veterinary
field was the right choice for her. Joining Baileys in August of 2005, Ronnie
brought with her a ton of energy!
She likes many different areas in the clinic, but has a strong passion for pets’
dental healthy and works hard to keep your pets mouths clean and healthy.
It’s not unlikely that you will hear us refer to her as “The Tooth Fairy”.
Her fur kids include 2 dogs, Cudie and Tinkerbell, 2 cats Angel and Tiger
and 2 sheep. Ronnie also has 2 fabulous girls who she enjoys spending time
with. Camping, yard work and traveling are some of the fun things she likes
to do in her free time.

With her exceptional phlebotomy skills, it has been established that
BRIANNE is the i.v. catheter “Queen”. Joining Bailey’s technician staff in
2004, she continues to inspire us with her exceptional work ethic and her
nurturing nature, and her great sense of humor.
In her spare time you can find Brianne at dog shows with her French Bulldogs and
Bostons , honing in on her photography skills, and doing a little hunting and fishing.
She enjoys spending time with her family which includes her 3 amazing children
and, of course, her beloved dogs.
Baileys welcomed ALEXIS to our technician staff in April of 2014.
She has a great love of animals and their health and appreciates all
pets as well as the people that come with them . Her favorite area within
the clinic is patient care and it shows as she comforts each and every
patient that comes through the door.
Her passions outside of the clinic include Hiking, camping, skiing,
motorcycling , reading and crocheting. She also loves to cozy her 2 year
old cat Leonidas.

MELANIE began working here at Bailey’s in 2011, but has had a love of animals her whole
life. She has 3 animals altogether who she loves as her children. Her time is spent horseback
riding and giving lessons on horsemanship.
She and her husband Mark have been married for 10 years and they are both competitive in
western, Eglish, dressage and gaming. They also enjoy trail riding.
Melanie states, “ Animals are an unconditional love in our household and in our lives.
We have always had joy loving them”.
BRENDA recently joined our staff in February of 2013. She has a full family of 4 dogs, 9 cats, 4 horses and, depending on the day, around 15 pigs. When she finds spare time, she enjoys spending time with her horses, going camping and cooking.
We have a very knowledgeable staff of receptionists who know how to do more than just answer phones and write down your pets information. They are capable of answering questions about basic pet health, products, foods, medications and scheduling appointments. They also know about any specials or promotions the clinic may be offering. The have over 94 years of experience and their ultimate goal is to provide great customer service for you.
Lead Receptionist- Since 1981, VICKIE has blessed the Bailey’s staff with
her positive attitude and caring nature. It’s been said that her smile is like a
“ray of sunshine”. And we’re sure you’ll agree as she welcomes you and your pets.
Her favorite area within the clinic is customer service. She enjoys working with
clients and all of the furry faces that come through our door.
Personal time includes camping, gardening, traveling, spending time with
her grandkids and dog Dixie, and you can be sure that if there is a NASCAR
race on, she’ll be watching and cheering!

TANYA has been a receptionist with Bailey Veterinary Clinic since 1982. She has 1 pet and spends her occasional spare moment reading.
Starting in December of 2006, KAREN quickly found her place within the
Bailey family. “I was fortunate to have been drafted into the field by my friend
Candy “, she jokes when asked why she chose the veterinary field. But it is
quite apparent in the way she welcomes you and your pets, that she has a soft
spot for animals and a concern for their well being.
Karen has 3 cats and 2 adorable Chihuahuas. She enjoys reading and spending
time with her children and grandchildren.
KIMMIE first began at Baileys in the spring of 2005 until fall of
2006 and rejoined our team in 2012. She has 5 cats and 1 dog
that she loves as her children.
When asked why she chose the veterinary field, Kimmie replied,
“ I didn’t choose it, it chose me”. Her positive attitude shows in the
way that she greets and assists clients every day.
With her extensive background in customer service and her
love of animals, Kimmie is the perfect fit for our reception team.
In her spare time, she enjoys making horse hair jewelry, paper

Come into Baileys and you’ll always be greeted with a smile from this
upbeat receptionist. AMY joined the team in July of 2013 and has been
a happy, positive addition to the family.
Amy chose the veterinary field because she enjoys the constant interaction
with both pets and clients and enjoys educating clients about their pets healthcare.
Her fur kids include 1 Scottish fold cat and her 3 dogs Spencer, Savanna and Shyanne.
Her favorite activities outside of the clinic include camping. Amy reports “ There
are so many places to visit here in Oregon like all of the waterfalls in the Umpqua
KRISTEN wanted a career that allowed her to help animals and people
so naturally, the veterinary field was a perfect choice. She began her
journey as a veterinary technician and is now more than happy to join the
reception staff to help educate owners on their pets health needs and spend
time with the animals as well.
Away from the clinic, Kristen enjoys hunting, fishing and reading. She is also
involved with “Chase Away K9 Cancer”, a division of The National Canine Cancer
Her home is filled with love from her Chocolate Lab ( Remington), her orange
tabby (Gauge) and her Beta fish (Mudpuddle).

In April of 2014, we added another member to the Bailey family. With a smile on her face and positive attitude, HOLLY has been a joy to have around. Her strong customer service skills and caring nature come naturally as Holly has always enjoyed client care and has had a love of animals since she can remember.
Some of her favorite things to do outside of the clinic are: fishing (fly fishing), hunting, camping , watching movies and being a great mom to her dachshund.

Patty has returned to Bailey Veterinary Clinic after a 8 year hiatus to help make sure that your visits are as pleasant as possible and your pet's care is of the best quality.
Patty started here in 2011 (for her second time around). Her hobbies are reading, gardening, movies & boating.
Our kennel crew are the ones responsible for keeping the clinic clean and smelling good. They are our "cleaning engineers" in every area including cages, kennels, floors, walls, counters, equipment, laundry and outside maintenance. They care for your pets by feeding and walking them and when necessary assist in holding them. Our kennel crew wears many hats and play a vital role behind the scenes.
Lead Kennel Crew - CANDY K joined our kennel crew staff in July of 2012 and is now our lead
kennel assistant. Candy jokes and reports that her favorite area in the clinic
is psychiatry and says that, aside from her love of animals, she chose the
veterinary field because she was “ Tired of dealing with people outside in the mean world”.
She is no stranger to pet care and has a household full of 74 pets! Relax, they are
not all indoor pets. Her pet family consists of 2 dogs, 5 cats, 2 minis, 15 sheep
and 50 chickens.
Gardening, spinning, weaving, soap and cheese making, pottery and canning are
just a few of the things she enjoys in her spare time.

ROCHELLE came to Baileys in February of 2011 and has been a wonderful asset to our kennel crew staff. You can rest assured that when your pet comes into the clinic, Rochelle will be there to comfort them and make sure that they feel safe and loved during their stay with us.
Aside from caring for her own pets, some of her time away from the clinic is spent dabbling in photography and taking nature walks.
Since June of 2003, HANNAH has been a wonderful member of the Bailey family.
Her goal is to always do her best and make customers proud and happy and she does
exactly that as she hustles through the halls of the clinic sweeping, mopping, and
keeping it clean. With a smile on her face, Hannah tells us that she enjoys working
here because she loves how everybody works, not only as a team, but as a family.
Hannah has one dog, a Chihuahua named Harley . She enjoys basketball, golf, and
bowling and has traveled several times over the years to compete in the Special
In 2014, Hannah traveled to New Jersey for the Special Olympics and brought
home the gold medal in women’s golf!
We welcomed KARLY to the Bailey family back in October of 2010. She
works on our kennel crew and not only does she do a fantastic job, but she
is constantly asking questions, watching procedures and soaking up as much
information as possible in hopes that it will benefit her in her quest to become
a veterinarian someday. She is currently finishing up her undergrad and then
wants to go to vet school.
When asked why she chose the veterinary field, Karly replied, “ I have always
loved animals, people and science. Her crazy critters include her dog
Heidi and cat, Lily .
Her spare time is spent playing piano, tennis, and hanging out with friends.
Karly’s upbeat and positive attitude are a breath of fresh air and we are so lucky
to have her on board.

CINTIA joined our kennel crew staff in March of 2014. She chose the
veterinary field because she’s always had a passion for animals and they
have been a big part of her life. Her favorite areas within the clinic are large

Speaking of animals, Cintia has a full house of wonderful pets which includes
2 horses, 2 cats, 3 dogs, 3 goats, 2 geese 1 turtle and too many chickens.
In her off time, Cintia enjoys gaming, trail riding, hunting, fishing and spending
time with her family, friends and animals.

She joined the Bailey family in October of 1980 and has graced us with her

Julie has a fur family of 2 dogs and 2 cats. She enjoys traveling, spending
time with family and is interested in Alzheimer’s disease.
When asked what she likes best about the clinic, Julie says that she likes
the Bailey clients and enjoys all of the employees.

Accounts Receivable-ANN has been with Bailey Veterinary Clinic since 1991. She has 2 pets that she claims own her. Her hobbies include spending time with her family and helping with the Sutherlin girls’ basketball team.
The Flea Hut is Now Open!
We now offer a more convenient way to pick up your pet's prescription medications that are called in 24 hours in advanced and over-the-counter flea and deworming medications. When you call in your pet's prescriptions, you will have the option to request your medication be picked up at the drive-thru window.
Our drive-up window is located on the west side driveway of our administrative and grooming salon building. (yellow building)
Your prescription medications will have to be requested by 5:30pm the previous day and requested that it be picked up at the Flea Hut.
